Registration Requests

The Lancashire and South Cumbria Cancer Network (LSCCN) maintains a website service for the benefit of the  Lancashire & South Cumbria community.

As part of the service to the community, LSCCN maintain a web site presence and part of the website presence includes the maintenance of a specific content area for use by authorised professionals and non-professionals.

This policy outlines the rules associated with registration requests to that specific area.

Users can request access to the professional sections of the website by completing the appropriate online registration request form

Once the initial registration is complete, the user will receive a confirmation Email at the EMail address which they used to register. This confirmation Email will contain a link, which the user should click on and which is used for verification of the submitted Email address. No access to the professional area will be granted so long as a user fails to click on the confirmation link contained within that Email.

If a user does not activate their account by clicking on the confirmation link and, by doing so, failing to verify their Email address within 10 days of registration, the registration will be removed from the web site server.

All registrations will be subject to approval by authorised individuals within the LSCCN and these will be authorised specifically by the LSCCN website manager.

The LSCCN has absolute discretion to authorise, or otherwise, website registrations

Users with NHS Email extensions (e.g. ‘@nhs.net’ or xxx.nhs.uk will ordinarily be granted access to the professional area of the web site but will still be subject to specific approval.

Non NHS Email account holders will be authorized on the basis of a specific and legitimate need to access the professional area. LSCCN reserves the right to make contact with individuals to clarify registrations requests.

Registration requests that are subject to clarification will be held on the Lancashire and South Cumbria Cancer Network servers for a period of 7 days from the date when a clarification request is sent from LSCCN. If no response has been received then the registration request will be removed.
