 Lancashire and South Cumbria Cancer Network and Rosemere Cancer Foundation are delighted to announce that there will be another Support Group Christmas Conference.  Please click the link above for more details.

This page relates to cancer self help and support groups and this information has been presented in a number of different ways to hopefully make it easier for you to find what you need to know as easily as possible.

The first list relates to cancer self help and support groups arranged by tumour group (so breast, lung, prostate etc) so that patients, their carers or the clinical teams can access details of support organisations and teams. (For tumour specific support groups click here)

The following list relates to support organisations by location. In the Lancashire and South Cumbria Cancer Network we are arranged across four “localities”. These are:

  • Blackpool, Fylde and Wyre
  • Central Lancashire
  • East Lancashire and
  • Morecambe Bay

So these listings enable you to find support groups near to you. (Link to be inserted)

There may not be any information relating specifically to your particular tumour group locally but there are still support organisations out there who may be able to help you. The next section provides information on the national cancer support organisations, including cancer research organisations. (Link to be inserted)

SETTING UP YOUR OWN CANCER SELF HELP AND CANCER SUPPORT GROUP

You may find that there is no local, or in some cases no support group, for your cancer and may be thinking about setting up your own Group. Should you be interested in doing this Donna Sheridan who works at the Cancer Network can assist you with this.
