The Network

The Lancashire & South Cumbria Cancer Network was formed in March 2001 and links together organisations that provide care for cancer patients in areas of Barrow-in-Furness, Blackburn, Blackpool, Burnley, Chorley, Flyde, Kendal, Lancashire, Morecambe, Preston, South Ribble, Ulverston and Wyre.

The Network works closely with patients, health professionals and managers to help implement the NHS Cancer Plan for the people of Lancashire & South Cumbria. The Network covers a population of 1.5 million people and encompasses one Strategic Health Authority, six Primary Care Trusts, four Acute Hospital Trusts and seven Hospices.
